About the Design
The design of the Nightsky is inspired by the appearance of the earth at night. The three-dimensional dial shows the continents Afrika, Asia and Europe. With the push of a button 21 lights symbolizing the cities at night turn on. Due to its significant design the Nightsky functions as an artwork on the wrist.
Manufacturing
The case of the Nightsky is carved out of one solid block of aluminium and is afterwords anodized. The anodization gives the Nightsky its black color and leads to high scratch protection. By the use of aluminium we achieved the outranging case weight of 8 grams. Due to innovative manufacturing methods such as SLA 3D-printing we were able to build highly detailed watch parts. Moreover, the dial and the case back are manufactured out of aluminum.
